Just as good as the first one! But I'm so mad that there was a cliffhanger because I don't have the third book!

There is something about this series that I can’t put my finger on but I’m here for it and enjoy following on the adventure, After reading S.T.A.G.S (The first book in this series back in 2021 I have been waiting for October Season to come around again so I could dive in to Book 2 and Now I have I’m even more hooked and know that the next book I pick up will be the 3rd book in the series to understand where it goes next.

Following the events of STAGS, Greer, Nel and Shafeen are all in their final year at the school and preparing for exams. To help her get into Oxford, Greer chooses to direct a play which a mystery person slips under her door - which happens to be The Isle Of Dogs, a (real) play of which no copies exist.

The mystery that surrounds these books is so constant and intense, I am in awe guessing what’s coming next in every chapter. The foreshadowing and subtle hints scattered throughout are perfect; even if I don’t realise, they’re hints at the time. I don’t even know what to say. I love the characters, I love the writing, I love the history sprinkled throughout the narrative.

on rereading this i still feel like S.T.A.G.S didn't need a sequel - or another two books after that. it held up well enough on its own. but who am i to complain about getting bonus content?

I struggled to remember what happened in book one, so it took me a while to get into this, I liked it, I enjoyed the mystery and the main plot being about a play made it different from other reads.

Hoof but expected more, something to happen. Also is Henry back or not?
