It was so interesting to see this world from another non-human perspective. Also, to know more about some of the alien worlds and species. I loved the further character development for all the Skyward flight, and Alanik was very intriguing as well.

“Progress for ReDawn. It was what we all wanted, of course. But some of us thought it mattered what we were progressing toward.”

“With so many different ideas, it’s easier to choose what to believe. Unity would like us to all unite under one set of beliefs, one agreement about what is best. But that takes away our knowledge, reduces our ability to decide what’s right and what’s wrong.”

“It was being alone. It was discovering that I always had been.”

I loved this second novella for Skyward. We got to learn so much about a different species and hear a completely different perspective. While Alanik doesn’t have my favourite personality in the series, it was nice to see her motivations and her planet. Can’t wait to continue with the story! Love this world!
