I thought I was ready for the last book of the series but I was not ready for this! The pining! OMG the pining! The mutual inability to keep their distance from each other! Xander FINALLY being ready to help himself. I understood his battle, and I understood why those who loved him wanted him to get help. When he finally took that step forward I wanted to cheer out loud for him. Seven and Molly, OMFG, I thought I couldn’t love them more but they are 2 beautiful characters who adore Xander for everything that he is. What can I say about Derek? That man was everything the perfect book boyfriend should be. I couldn’t say a bad word about him except (eww ants! lol)
OMFG the UST!!! When they finally come together it was so worth it!!!!
I am terribly sad to say goodbye to this series. Saxon truly created something special here and the found family of the Bertha boys. I would love an extended epilogue for them all to see where they are 10+ years in the future.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Report:
Our boy finally gets his happy ending! A fun ending to the series.
Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 4.5: Better than great, an undeniably enjoyable read, but not quite life-changing. Doesn’t feel like it’s glaringly missing anything, but there is no je ne sais quoi that would make it hauntingly good.

ARC Review - 4 stars
The way I had been WAITING for Xander’s book, and it did not disappoint!
Good lord, what a raw and emotional read.
Admittedly I was a little nervous for this book going into it. Given the topics in Not Catching Love, there was the potential that the deliverance could go very South, but Saxon handled the themes and characters with such care and tenderness. It was so beautiful to read about the character development and healing in this book.
And the ending 😭
I couldn’t think of a more perfect conclusion to this series.

I think it was a case of "it's me, not the book". I don't know, I just wasn't feeling the characters and how they so into each other. There was no real chemistry, I think? Might just be my terriblw book funk talking, though.
