**4.5**
So happy to finally see Xander get his story and dive into what it is that makes him think his health is leading him down such a dark path. However, this is what has led to him meeting Derek, a nurse at a pharmacy who has now become the go to person when Xander is having an episode.
Unfortunately, because of how attached Derek now feels towards Xander, it's basically shut the rest of his life off, except for his formicarium (ant farm) that takes up his spare room. It seems a little codependent between the two men, and while Derek would like more with Xander, he knows that his job role as a nurse does not allow for a relationship with him.
Xander's character is full on, whether it's a high or a low, you know you're going to get the full impact. His housemates, but especially Seven and Molly, deal with a lot of what he has going on. For a lot of the book, he is adamant about not going to therapy, not getting good results when he was forced to go as a child and feeling as though it has been taking Seven away from him. The relationship he has with Seven is one of the strongest I've seen in platonic love, but they are foster brothers who experienced a lot together and were each other's saviors during dark times.
I felt proud of both men eventually with the decisions that they made for themselves. Xander more so to reach the end result of getting the relationship that he wanted but I think, along the way, he found more of himself. His thinking when it comes to himself is so negative, mostly from his childhood, and it hurts the heart to think of how he came to think that way. Derek sees beyond that, his panic attacks, and his health anxiety to the hurting man beneath who just wants to be loved.
This was such a wonderful read and I adore the relationship between these two, especially how time was given for it to become something strong that they could both trust and believe in. Derek's bond that builds with Seven and Molly is special as well, given just how necessary it is to Xander.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Saxon James has done it again and brought another perfect book the final book in the accidental love. Ever since meeting xander I have been waiting for his book and it did not disappoint. It was a perfect book of love, heartbreak, trauma and healing. Saxon tied it all up beautifully and gave this couple a truly touching story

Xander- I love this man so much; I would die for him, there was so many time throughout this series I wanted to jump through the book and give him the biggest hug and just save him. He was the biggest sweetheart in the whole world. He deserved the world. reading his story and learning his story made me cry both sad and happy tears. To learn more about xander, his mindset, panic attacks and thoughts was an eye opening experience. To read his fears on life and loosing the people his love was heartbreaking and relatable. The care Saxon took with xander was incredible. Seeing xander find his person. His one true love and that person being Derek made my year. It made my heart extremely happy. They were the perfect couple, they deserved each other so much and although they face trouble the ending was perfect. Also me having blue hair like him was so cute

Derek- oh that man was an angel, I love him so much, his obsession with bugs 🥹 and how he stayed close just to be there for xander. And how he fitted in so well with xander family omg my heart melted into pieces. How he cared for xander i couldn’t handle it I cried. It was honestly so heartwarming. Everything he did for xander and all they went through

There is so much more I could write because this book was honesty utter perfection it was so beautiful, the writing was beautifully written. Saxon seriously had a talent. And the epilogue could not be more perfectly written. A beautiful ending to a perfect series
