Man. Where does one even start with this book? I don’t even know.

I’m afraid to say too much because this book… this beautiful, long-awaited book is everything I wanted for Xander but also everything I have been trying to avoid. Gut-punching emotions. That lump in your throat when you read. The ache in your chest that doesn’t go away for a while. However, it was a book I couldn’t run from forever because this series is one of the best Saxon has written. You can’t just read part of this series. You need every Lost Boys’ HEA.

Xander and Derek… ugh. My heart. The last piece of it belongs to them.

Even though this book was heavy, it was also well-balanced. I grinned more often than not. I clutched my throat, my heart, and sometimes even covered my mouth. This book took me for a ride and I’m perfectly okay with that. 10 out of 10. Read it or regret not reading it. Those are your only two options and I know which one I want for you.

I found this difficult to review. I did enjoy the story but wanted more from the relationship development, it felt like they just got to the in love part before I got it. I kind of wish Derek went away for the 2 years so they could both experience more growth individually - the codependency is so draining.
