Thank you for the eARC!!!
XANDER MY LOVE, WE FINALLY GET YOUR BOOK!!!
Xander has always been my favorite (except maybe Seven) and so every time a new book was announced I was hoping it would be his, and always so disappointed when it wasn't. Now that we got it though, it makes SO MUCH SENSE that Xander was last.
And boy, did the wait not disappoint.
At the beginning of the book, Saxon put something saying that she could understand why people might not like Xander in part one, and to that all I can say is WHAT?!?!? That was Xander as he's always been. Yeah, we got his thoughts, but he was his usual self, but we are just seeing more and the true self depreciation and hurt he has. How could anyone not love him and feel for him?!? If you can't handle him at his worst, you don't deserve him at his best.
I loved Xander and Derek's relationship, and seeing more of Derek as a person.
I LOVED the way he gave it to Madden in the last book and loved seeing it carry over here. What he said to Seven was needed, and I love that he pushed him to finally make Xander get help. And I love that Xander did get them help and was able to grow and work through things. I love where he came to on the other side.
Derek was fun and I think it was so random and cute that he loved bugs. Couldn't be me, but you get your man Xander.
The way that Derek built a relationship with Seven and Molly too was so fucking perfect.
I don't care if it is extremely dependent or toxic, I fucking LOVE the relationship between Xander, Seven, Molly, and now Derek. And I'm so happy where that was in the epilogue.
I love that we got bits of everyone from the other books, the rest of the Bertha Boys, but do wish it was a little more since this was the last book. BUT THE EPILOGUE!!! OMGGGGG. Love that it ended with them all (INCLUDING GABE RAHHH)!!!!!
It was a perfect ending to the series and I will miss my Big Boned Bertha, and my Bertha Boys found family so fucking much!
The only thing I didn't really like wasDerek saying they couldn't be together. Don't get me wrong, I get why. And I think that's an extremely important rule to have, but I agree that I don't think they were doing anything wrong. But to say they can't be together but then LITERALLY be boyfriends. With each other all the time, texting, snuggling, everything. COME ON. And then they actually have sex. Even if you say it's only going to be this one time (which already was broken) that's ridiculous! I get it's the fear of losing the license, but then say you can't be that in public, don't say even in private you can't be labeled and whatever, but actually do everything. It was very hypocritical. And it pissed me off. But I also get Derek was so freaked out about it.

We have gotten bits and pieces of Xander in every book in this series. This has been my most highly anticipated book in this series, and it did not disappoint. In fact, it exceeded all my expectations. I knew it was going to take someone very special to fall for Xander, and Derek is, hands down, that person.
I think I have said it in every review of Saxon‘s books, but her writing of mental health representation is second to none. She could lead a master class in how to write mental health representation. And Xander‘s character development? Again, she could lead a master class in how to write complex, layered, multidimensional characters.
Anyone who has ever dealt with either their own mental health issues, and/or a loved one with mental health issues can understand Derek‘s frustration in Xander‘s refusal to get the help he needs.
I really, really love the fact that Xander is unapologetically his authentic self. Flaws and all. I also love how Derek supports him and encourages him to get better not because he’s trying to change who Xander is as a person, but because he wants Xander to love himself and be the best version of himself he can be.
I’m going to miss the Big Bertha boys, but this book is the perfect end to the series.
Xander and Derek find their happiness after a long road. We watch Z put himself first so Derek can love him.
Love my Bertha boys.

This book was absolutely worth the wait. Their love story was beautiful, sweet, heartbreaking and everything in between. Xander has been my favorite since husband hoax and his love story was done so amazingly I honestly don’t think there is a single thing I would change this book honestly exceeded all my expectations and more. It’s on my top 24 of 2024. I would honestly rate it 6 stars if I could. From being to end I laugh, cried, gasped, cussed, and every emotion in between. Absolutely amazing Saxon James has definitely done an amazing job

This was a beautiful conclusion to the series. Xanders character growth was superb and he remained the bratty king we all love.
Derek was a dream, his patience, understanding and care shone throughout this book as he looked out for both himself and Xander.
“You’re so fucking incredible it kills me.”
I loved that Derek prioritised himself and set clear boundaries to protect himself whilst remaining supportive and clear in his motives. His adoption into the molly x seven x Xander friendship was beautifully done and I fear I will never recover from that epilogue.
‘Seven and Molly are my people, too, now. And I’ll do everything I can to do right by all of them.’
I have been waiting for Derek and Xanders story from the moment I started the accidental love series. When this arrived in my inbox I let out an actual scream so a huge thankyou to Saxon James and Foreword PR for the e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

I really needed a moment because the last page felt like saying goodbye to a family. I know this isn’t the end, they will forever be present. Every series Saxon creates, I am there but this one just holds a special something.
Seven with Molly hold their number 1 place but Xander with Derek were the perfect conclusion to this series. I mean I am starting from the end but the epilogue, it happened. That happened 🥹. Derek the glue. The glue that brought the characters together.
The way this relationship was taken, the pace set, the foundation build. The healing. The truths thrown. Some scenes had me in literal tears. A journey of self acceptance. All so bittersweet but a storm has been calmed. And now I need a Molly cuddle.
[And he calls him Bug.]
….
“I ache for that kind of love. For being so close to the other person that I need to find them, even in my sleep.” // “I’m already too familiar with everything about Xander Moore.” // “I’m dying to know what his hugs are like.” // “I used to want to be one of those guys. Now, I want one of those guys.” // “How I’d counted the colors in his eyes and knew I’d never be able to paint them all.” // “Too much.” // “I’m never going to survive him.” // It’s like … beautiful chaos. Like I can feel you in here.” // “Am I your little bug?” // “Every part with you is the good part.” // “This is going to be your home, where you can be soft and stop fighting…” …
….
*I reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

Great end to the series. This is a slow burn taboo romance that I demolished in a day. Sooo good.
As someone who suffers from terrible anxiety—some of it health related (just not on Xander’s level)—I have always felt like Z and I were kindred spirits, and just knew his story would hit me in the feels.
I absolutely adore him and have loved him from the moment his character popped up in Christian’s book, and as sad as I am to see this series wrap up, I loved every minute of his story.
He and Seven will forever be tied as my favorite Bertha boys, and I am so happy that both of them got the happy endings they deserved after everything they’ve been through.
Derek could not have been a more perfect partner for Xander, and I loved the pacing of their friendship turned romance. He constantly pushed for Xander to work and do better on himself, and never once tried getting in the way of what Z has with Seven and Molly.
& oh my gosh! That epilogue was perfect, and I could not want for more!
