I liked this picture book a lot better than Too Many Carrots. The font used in this book was a lot more pleasant to look at. The illustrations are so charming and there is so much to look at.
This picture book's message is that winter doesn't have to be cold and dreary. There are plenty of possible outdoor activities (like sledding!) and with the right friends winter can be fun too. Nice book to read to little ones in the winter.

This book makes you go awwweeeeee. Tortoise does not like winter. He just wants to settle down and sleep, but others keep trying to bring him out of his shell. Maybe, just maybe he can learn to like a cold, snowy, freezing winter.
