Overall i enjoyed it, I’m hoping the rest of the series is done just as well.
Moderate: Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Alcoholism and Sexual content
Have you seen the movie Fear with Mark Whalberg and Reese Witherspoon? This book is nothing like that but there is a very similar roller coaster scene 😜gemin1reader's review against another edition

It’s set in a super kitschy theme park so lots of rollercoaster plot and metaphors. I will read the rest in the series.

- Enemies to lovers
- Grumpy/sunshine
- Small town setting
- Workplace romance
- Amusement park workplace
- Happy ending
- Dual POV
Obviously it’s a vaguely predictable plot. The point of romance is that you want the main characters to get together. I wasn’t sure how the lawsuit would turn out, but of course it worked itself out in the end because this is a very lighthearted romance book.

I liked the beginning of it, but the hatred part disappeared way too early, and the way Emory never actually apologised for his shitty behaviour to Lorelei and was instead instantly forgiven pissed me off. So I wasn't the biggest fan of the romance, especially because the development to "love" wasn't that apparent to me? By the time they confessed their love to each other, I still felt very mediocre about them.
Characters outside of Emory and Lorelei were very forgettable, particularly Lorelei's friends. From the moment they first appeared, I knew I'd have issues remembering who was who, and that definitely stayed that way. I actually had to re-read the scene where they got first introduced sometimes, just so I could recall details about them again. Especially Ruby, Quinn, and Theo were interchangeable in my mind.
The writing of the book was ... not that great? It wasn't bad by any means, but Olivia kept using comparisons that made no sense to me and just took me out of the story. It usually doesn't bother me when it happens a few times, but it constantly happened in here. It was also way too dramatic sometimes.
But the story was overall light to read, and there were some funny moments. So it was fine! Just not that spectacular.
