the maze has its own life, yeah. I have discovered Daedalus' maze with this book, and how Grover finally found Pan!!!!! And the growing love of percy to annabeth *gasps*

It’s been so fun to reread these, but especially this one! I’d forgotten a lot of what happens because there’s so much. BOTL definitely ramps up the intensity of the full war coming and advances the series perfectly for the last book, from what I remember.
