Four solid stars rounded up to five purely for the introduction to Myron Levin and fairwarning.org. Jack McEvoy continues to be my favorite “Bosch Universe” character. I am hoping he returns soon with Myron of course.

Enjoyed this one and am fond of this character. An interesting foray into the world of genetic testing, which has garnered recent(ish) media attention due to the Golden State Killer.
Side note: I don't have a picture in my head of Jack McEvoy like I did with Bosch. Maybe the Clint Eastwood movie ruined that possibility?

I like this universe, and enjoyed McEvoy when he was part of a Bosch story, but here it is a slow to grab me. The Podcast element and the use of Rachel Walling was good, and brought a cool element to the story. Overall fine.

I can't decide how I feel about this at the moment. On the one hand, I found certain sections of the book slow and drag, a big of a slow burn as Jack McEvoy begins to get involved in the case and start digging.

On the other, I found other sections much faster in pace and the aspects totally engaging and downright creepy. Oh, this book is so CREEPY!

Maybe not the best time to listen to for blog tour (audiobook given to me by UK publisher in exchange for an honest review for blog tour at the end of May 2020.).

I think I'm going to read more Michael Connelly novels over the next few months, but I need something more, if that makes sense.

Well, the ending was a bit anticlimactic…but the book was great!!!
I was concerned for Jack at one point when I thought his DNA report would be manipulated or something but I’m glad that didn’t happen.

Excellent read, but sometimes I want to slap Jack.

My least favorite Connelly book. It felt contrived and I really missed Bosch and Haller.
