I really liked this one. It's one of those that could be eye opening to a kid my son's age (7). Tim Drake's final test before taking on the job of Robin is to find Batman before midnight with only one clue (well, 2, but Batman gave him one to get started). His mission turned out to be much more than just to find Batman and was a good learning experience as well as test.

One funny thing about reading this in German was that "Ace of Diamonds" (Karo Ass) has no connection to the diamond jewel and so they had to explain that little play on words.

I don't know a lot about the Robin history, so although I read this with my 4yo, I learned a bit about the background story for Batman/Robin, too. Good for kids, good for adults!

The 7 year old loved it, and we utilized the discussion questions at the back of the book.
