This reminds me of Forest Gump ... except with murder. It started out strong, but after a while became tedious. I admit that I skimmed quite a bit.

The title sold me, the story lost me. It is too all over the place and tries telling the story of too many characters rather than the protagonist. I wanted to like this book and kept pushing myself to stick with it but the combined trouble of totally unrealistic events and the life narrative of totally random characters -the Priest in Tehran- lost my interest. Had to tap out halfway through

I loved this book and how it is written to about 3/4 through. The story is cute, funny, original and engaging, but unfortunately gets tiresome and overdone. You can’t help but love the main characters until you are just done with them. I still would recommend reading this, but not feeling guilty if you fast forward to the end.
