Its a Swedish Mr Magoo with a penchant for vodka and occasional accidental manslaughter. With the Pithy dialogue and constantly changing locale its an easy breezy read.
Really loved this madcap crime/bildungsroman. I hope toys guy writes more.
Not my favourite. Not awful. It just went on and on. And the author seemed rather pleased with himself in writing snappy dialogue more than invested in the characters. But not horrible.

I wasn't sure about this in the beginning but it definitely grew on me; particularly the chapters about Allan's life before he climbed out of the window and all the amazing improbable things he managed to achieve. I very nearly unhauled this, so glad I changed my mind and gave it a go

A really fun story - a good mix between Forrest Gump and Douglas Adams. Great humor and fun and fantastic weaving together of history and imagination.
