Bizarre, entertaining, dark comedy.
As the name says, this is a story about a 100 year old man who climbs out of his window and goes on an unwitting adventure. He makes friends on the way, meet and starts running from drug lords, travels across the world in the process. And there’s also the flashbacks of his past life which, without giving anything away, is chock-full of events. The centenarian Allan is a weird character, he doesn’t expect much from life besides food, a bed and vodka, has very little interest in anything but explosives but always finds himself at the center of very important events. This story is unique in it’s take, it will make you laugh at places but in the end there’s very little to care about in the story. There’s a lot going on, and there are a lot of characters most of whom don’t hang around for long, which gets overwhelming sometimes. But I liked the humor, which is quite morbid sometimes and the odd concept. It’s worth a read just because how different it is from what someone might expect from a book with a 100 year old man as the protagonist.

I didn't like the style of writing. It felt a bit like the writer was just listing events.

What did I just read?! It was funny but boring; out of nowhere but adventurous? I would not recommend unless you need a bonkers story.
