I picked up this book randomly from a bookstore table after having read "A Man Called Ove." I didn't have any expectations either way but I was pleasantly surprised. It's a winding tale that tackles a long period of time and more events than most series of novels but is paced very, very well. There is a great flow that keeps you engaged. At first I wasn't as interested in the flashback portions but they soon became the best part of the book, tho not to the detriment of the current day story. A great choice if you're looking for a fun read (that isn't a stupid one) but you have a bit of time to dedicate to it.
