Matt Haig

Compassionate but seldom schmaltzy, Haig is clearly inspired by Vonnegut without ever being imitative of him. Though its scope is small (and story predictable), there’s a lot to love about the “The Humans.”

clever writing, good story, absorbing.

The concept of the book was great, and I really enjoyed the commentary about humans and Earth. It was a fun read!

Bright, witty and fun read. It reminded me a bit of Douglas Adams.

So slow but it turns all the way up right at the end, literally at 80%. If you like space and math you’d probably enjoy this.

I don't often leave reviews, and this likely won't be a detailed one.

This was simply fantastic.

I read often (daily) during my commute via Audible in my car, but very rarely do I listen/read whatever audiobook I'm on outside of that hour and a half of drive time. I found myself entranced with this book and my earbuds were in my ears more often than they ever have been.

I ordered a physical copy before the book was complete, and cannot wait to re-read it when it arrives.

Haig's view of Humans, from outside looking in, is so insightful it's difficult to remember that he's not alien himself.

Wonderful book, one of the best I think I’ve ever read. Deceptively simple but beautifully deep.

Эта книга - это взгляд со стороны пришельца на человечество, его достижения, его нормы, его неидеальсть. Очень душевная, приятная и притягивающая. Про силу любви и жертвы. Про жизнь.
