Never would I ever expected fricking weaponized farts to be genuinely scary.

My original rating was a 3.5, but i'll round it up to a 4 for the two stories at the end. Especially 'The enigma of Amigara fault'.
As a manga fan, I decided to buy this book randomly like ''Oh he's pretty popular, lets give it a go'' (I don't talk like that btw, just an example). Needless to say, I was not disappointed. The drawings were amazing, and the story went from 0-100 real fast. Even the two bonus stories at the end kept my attention the whole time! Give it a go, why not? (I don't recommend this to someone with a weak stomach though.)

The main story starts out laughably B horror, then midway through becomes unenjoyably gross. The ending could be satisfying if you liked the main characters and rooted for their relationship, but I found them profoundly unlikeable. The use of onomatopoeia is fun though and the art is compelling. The two short stories at the end are fantastic.

Based on the synopsis I wasn’t sure if I would like this as much as his other work I’ve read. I thought fish with legs couldn’t be too scary, but wow this was wild. I felt so nauseous reading this book, but it was brilliantly disturbing. I really enjoy unique ideas in horror, and Gyo definitely delivers.
