It wasn’t what I was expecting. I was hoping for more true crime podcast - and this was more just a list of stories that we’ve all heard before (ie Lizzie Borden)…. Maybe they have more going on in the later chapters, but I just wasn’t feeling it after a bit.

Look idk if I’d recommend this book to anyone. I haven’t watched the show but it’s interesting to me. That being said idk what you want from me here. They were snarky I’m easily amused tada b

This one is definitely meant for the fans of Buzzfeed unsolved! The commentary is enjoyable because I already love Shane and Ryan. I can see how it would be off-putting to anyone simply looking for a spooky read.
A side note: I read the physical version of this book in tandem with the audiobook. The audiobook has some additional commentary from the Ghoul Boys so I found it worthwhile to invest in both editions. However, I think it's up to each reader which one they want so I won't push one version over the other.

While i really enjoy the Ghoul boys and their antics throughout the book to me it loses some of the dumb madness that the show holds. Highly recommended for fans, everyone else go with caution (or go watch Ryan and Shane in action on the show)

Fun and spooky! I listened to the audiobook on a road trip and got to the road/highway stories section right as it was transitioning to nighttime and managed to scare myself immensely. Don't do that, but do read this book! I really loved Shane and Ryan's commentary throughout. I guess I'm only a Shaniac by day.... definitely a Boogara by night.
