I bounced between a 3.5 and 4 for this book. I was hooked from the first page. I loved the premise and fell for each of the characters immediately.

One thing I just couldn’t get over, though, was some of the wording. I do not want to see the word “bum” used in a smutty scene. Mood? Completely ruined lol. Other than some very questionable word choices, the smut was FANTASTIC.

I feel like around the half to three quarter mark, it really slowed down. The last quarter completely stole my heart (I may have teared up at a certain part) and completely redeemed it.

So, overall? I really enjoyed the book :)

I mean it’s an easy read but it didn’t really do anything for me, like three guys who are her friends live across the hall from a girl who needs help dating….I WONDER WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN

Any book that I read in a day is getting 5 stars. Yeah some parts were cringy but what do you expect reading a book like this???? Anyways, I loved it- the sex, the characters, the plot, the depth of everyone’s past.

(Team Josh though)

Cute, very cheesy, pretty cringey. I loved Josh. Luke and Layla were fine if a bit irritating at times. Zack was wonderful at the start… and then the breakup scene…. Oof….

The spice was definitely too much in a few areas honestly, but the emotional sections were largely enjoyable. I think it would have benefited from evening out the sex with emotional moments, there were a few (mostly with Josh) but not nearly enough to make things feel balanced. I feel like the author just kind of skipped the actual dating part by just saying that they were all doing dates behind the scenes. It made it feel, ironically, like Luke and Zack only wanted Layla for the sex even though the whole point was to show her that shes not just an object.

The podcast and Twitter transcripts were extremely cringey and unpleasant to read through for me.

The high school stuff was… a bit much tbh.

I liked the ending, just simple and easy and overly sweet. :)

Drove me nuts that there was no mention of trying to have a baby or freezing viable eggs since she’d only missed 2 periods. If someone is that baby oriented you’d think she’d try everything
