This was really cute! and for being a standalone Why Choose with 3 love interests I feel that all the characters had a good amount of depth, backstory and development!
I found Layla's trauma from high school relatable (though on a less intense scale), and I think many of us in our upper twenties can relate to how her trauma has closed her off so even though she thinks she dating, she really is just self sabotaging every relationship she tries.
The spice was of course great.
The men were flushed out and each were their own character (sometimes in why choose they blend together) There were also some heavier issues in their pasts that gave them each their own trauma to work through (divorce, death of a girlfriend)
My biggest issue with this book was that in the end there wasn't enough groveling. They needed to do more for forgiveness. She deserved more of their protection.
Overall a really cute and fun read, and I do plan on trying the other standalones in this series!

Not a big fan of this one honestly. The men were garbage. Not enough groveling. Way too long. Third act breakup.
Honestly I just dropped a star on this review because I can’t name 1 thing I did like about it. Huh.

Okay I absolutely loved this.
Layla sucks at dating, enter her three best guy friends to fake date her and teach her everything she knows about relationships.
Honestly, it's fake dating so what's not to love. It was super cute and although it did deal with some heavy topics, they characters all get a bit of a therapy session to help heal from their traumas.

amazing
I inhaled this book, in two days. It was so well written and amazing.
It truly captivated me and I want it to be a tv series (shout out Netflix).

Cute, very cheesy, pretty cringey. I loved Josh. Luke and Layla were fine if a bit irritating at times. Zack was wonderful at the start… and then the breakup scene…. Oof….
The spice was definitely too much in a few areas honestly, but the emotional sections were largely enjoyable. I think it would have benefited from evening out the sex with emotional moments, there were a few (mostly with Josh) but not nearly enough to make things feel balanced. I feel like the author just kind of skipped the actual dating part by just saying that they were all doing dates behind the scenes. It made it feel, ironically, like Luke and Zack only wanted Layla for the sex even though the whole point was to show her that shes not just an object.
The podcast and Twitter transcripts were extremely cringey and unpleasant to read through for me.
The high school stuff was… a bit much tbh.
I liked the ending, just simple and easy and overly sweet. :)
