booktok said this was good which instantly made me a little wary but I tore through this book in one day!! I normally fall asleep reading at nighttime but this kept me up and intrigued. I was surprised by the number of pages but after finishing it, there isn't a single thing I would cut out. it was perfectly well executed. now, lets discuss the characters... Layla is a girl boss queen, take no shit WOMAN!! she had those three guys by the throats all throughout this book even when they acted like pigs for a small portion EXCEPT JOSH MY FAV! anyway (this is chaotic) Luke is the sexy professor who is my favorite for the spicy scenes (WHEW check kindle notes for a laugh), Zack is my disgruntled, teddy bear, rugby player who has my heart, and finally mY KING, Joshua. wow he was just the sweetest and he never treated Layla like anything other than the queen she is.
the plot was their relationship a lot of the time but it was also watching Layla grow and become confident in herself apart from the guys. she knew her worth and she made sure that the guys wouldn't compromise that or take advantage of it. when they let her down, she didn't just take them back bc they said a half-assed apology. she made them work for it and assured herself that she was confident and independent enough to trust and lean on them.
great story for those who like a GOOD relationship and character growth to be the center of the novel!!!
don't let this cover fool you. it may look like your average, run-of-the-mill romcom but lily gold played you. it is spice, spice, spice! and GOOD spice too! apart from a few adjectives that could have been better (which lets be honest happens in all spicy books), this book had perfect spice scenes. neither one of the boys acted as the "leader" and took over (welllllll for the most part) but if they did it was in a way you can appreciate. this book was such a fun time and I HIGHLY recommend!!

Super cute and enjoyable just like the last Lily Gold I read! She’s definitely an author or read if you’re in a romance slump and want something cozy cute with easy plot and good vibes!

Wow, I did not think I would like this book as much as I did. I felt totally bananas when describing the plot to my boyfriend but I swear it feels very romantic/realistic when reading it…

Lily Gold is a masterful writer and comedian. I am obsessed with this book. I'm writing this review a few months after reading the book and I still think about this book every week or so. The spice was to die for, the characters were so well written with such relatable and defining pasts, and the comedy aspect was so perfectly fitting.
This book had me switching from tears of laughter to tears of sadness within a few chapters. Our FMC was so adorably awkward and our MC's were so loveable and diverse.
The only reason I took away a quarter of a star was because I was desperate for some more kink with Luke that just wasn't provided.

I was a little nervous at first, because the last MFMM book I read was tough for me to get through, this one was absolutely amazing, I loved every second of it! The book has a little bit of everything:
