DID NOT FINISH: 33%

Boring plotline, unlikeable characters

Loved it!

Adored this whole story, start to finish! Each of the men has a unique personality, and I loved them all for who they were (Maybe Josh a little bit more!). I felt all of Layla's struggles and cheered her on as she grew and learned through the book. The spice was top notch and well written - it's not simple to write good spice, nevermind spice with more than two people! 100% recommend!

This is not my usual read, but it was fine! Fluffy and fine and predictable and sweet, and sometimes that's all you want outta life. The spice was good. It was far, far too long for what the story was, and there were several plot threads that could have been snipped out to shorten it up with minimal impact to the overall story.

I was a little annoyed by the FMC, who was the typical "gorgeous and successful but just can't find love" trope, but whatever.

Was extremely unsure of whether or not I would like this book once I got into it and realized it was about a group relationship… but I actually did! I know the reverse harem trope is meant to be this way and that many readers clamor for the ending where the girl ends up with ALL the participants in the couple, but I don’t think I am one of them even if I did like this book’s ending a lot. Unfortunately I think I might be too pro-monogamy to fully looooove this book, but I’m still giving it four stars because it is a fun read with awesome smut and not all literature has to be ground-breaking stuff.

Layla is a perfectionist and deeply scarred by her past trauma dealing with bullying, slut-shaming, and sexual harassment. Her defenses are up, and they are unable to come down without the help of her three neighbors, Josh, Zach, and Luke.

I started this book because I saw a TikTok saying it reminded them of New Girl only if everyone was having sex and I needed to shut my mind off for a bit so I went for it. Even with all the sex, Lily Gold does a great job of investing readers in not only Layla, but her three guys as well. The relationships here are fun and the characters are well-rounded, but I don’t think the relationship dynamic between the four of them is al that well. But I decided to ignore that because I don’t know if I needed that from this book.

I loved everything about this! The banter and the sexiness was incredible. Also someone to try to navigate the dating world, this was highly entertaining!

Glad I’ve read this, after reading Happenstance by Tessa Bailey, I’ve realised reverse harem is a trope I can get behind. Loved it and the emotional topics portrayed by all the characters

swooning

I love these stories. It’s one thing to watch two people fall in love, but four?? It’s just beautiful. Each character has their own depth and stories, and they all seem to mingle perfectly with one another. My favorite part is the fact that they all love her differently. They all get a different piece of her without being jealous of any of the others. This story was so cute because we watch her slowly unravel herself and find herself through their “lessons”.

This book was about 100 pages too long. I lost interest at about 70% of the way and really struggled to finish it. The spice was good, and enjoyed the getting to know the different personalities of the boys, but I didn’t really connect to the MC.
