Where was the flavor?!!
I loved the set up and the podcast element when listening to the audiobook but this was just spice and no substance. I need depth in the relationship dynamics and I found myself tuning out the spicy scenes 😴

DID NOT FINISH
I hated it, I hated it.. did I mention already that I hated it?
Oh how I did not like this book. I swear this was more annoying than the science lectures I had back in high school (which says a lot).
This story made me feel so freakishly icky. I wanted to throw my phone out of the window. And these pet names!? The hell? They grossed me out.
Glad I made the discussion to return this title. Not worth your money if I do say so myself..
One star because of the narrators. Thank you guys for making this a little less traumatic.

I didn't know what reverse harem meant but now I do. The sexist undertones are definitely there but for something so far out of my comfort zone it was easy to read. I did tell my mom I read this

Listened to this and I loved the cast playing the characters. They were so good.
Okay, so here it is, my first reverse harem read. I've been trying to dip my toe into RH for a while, but had a few DNF false starts at the beginning. Finally, I posted on a smutty book group on Facebook for RH recs that are not dark (meaning no non-consent or dubious consent) but super spicy. This book was recommended about 60 times, so I grabbed it. I enjoyed this book a lot, and I recommend it if you're looking to dip your toe into the reverse harem waters.
My only gripe is that I didn't feel as connected to Luke and Josh as I did to Zack. We learn a lot about Zack and his grief. His motivations are always really clear and at times heartbreaking. With Luke and Josh, I didn't feel that same clarity. Luke's divorce and teacher backstory was hard to wrap my head around. And his ex was so incredibly awful I couldn't imagine why he loved her. Josh's backstory felt almost nonexistent. Long story short, while I should have been shipping for all three, my attention always gravitated to Zack.
Still, if you're looking for light comedy, mild angst, and hot steamy four-way scenes then you will love this book. The comedy is fun, the characters are likable, and the steam is hot. Seriously, the scenes with Layla, Luke, Zack, and Josh are delish and sometimes kinky. Good stuff!

Good friends to lovers trope implemented. The main characters have good individual personalities and the banter seemed to flow easy between them. I liked how the story had depth and emotion, especially when it came to the FMC and her past. Overall, I really liked the story and the main relationship development.
