Unbreakable is a book about romance, but I don't know that I would call it a romance novel. For me it feels like this straddles a line between romance and literary fiction; we're not racing towards Happily Ever After but instead facing what comes years after you've ridden off into the sunset. All that to say: this book is unlike any anything I have read by Author Dani Galliaro and, honestly, unlike any I've read since I dove headfirst into hockey romance in general and it is well worth the read.
If you're looking for a light hearted romance with hot hot smut, you're going to want to look elsewhere. Unbreakable will absolutely having you fanning yourself as Jeanine and Dylan definitely have zero issues with chemistry still being a thing but Author Galliaro focuses on the stark realities of what a relationship like Dylan and Jeanine would look like - and how you can still love your partner with all your heart and not be getting what you need out of a relationship.
There were parts that were extremely difficult to read and kudos to Author Galliaro for not shying away from the discomfort of those and forcing us as the reader to sit with them. I think for many people reading, you may hear echos of your own struggles and frustrations within the pages and, as such (despite the extra-ness of The Plan), the real healing comes from what Dylan calls "the bigger plan [... now] we do the hard part. We keep working on this."
The relationships Jeanine had with her support network back home (and the texts back and forth) gave me life. Especially as I loved getting to see some familiar faces. But while I absolutely adored the Unintentional Puck Bunny series, Unbreakable has a very, very different vibe - and I'm here for it.

ARC REVIEW!
This is the most real, honest, and relatable book I've read to date. Dani has created a BEAUTIFUL story filled with love and tension. Dylan and Jeanine are super relatable and don't forget that one aggravating family member. If you're looking for spice, look no further. Unbreakable has you covered with scenes starting as early as chapter 2!
I would suggest checking the content warnings/TW for your triggers just in case. You can also message me and I can let you know the list 💜
Thank you @danigalliaroauthor and @happilybookedpr for the chance to have an ARC and read Unbreakable.
What to expect:

“You’re my home. My twin flame. And I’m lost without you.”
Get ready to feel all the feels with Dylan and Jeanine. Dylan was previously the Captain in Los Angles which is the Unintentional Puck Bunny Series, you can read this without the previous books.
As someone who was a stay at home mom and a working and currently a stay at home working mom everything Jeanine was saying and feeling was easy to connect with. Dylan is trying and his heart is in the right place but he had his moments where he thought if he just swept it under the rug it would go away and absolutely not.
Besides a few moments where you will say seriously Dyl he is the perfect husband when he opens his eyes. The biggest take away that is causing crisis in their marriage is all the small things starting to pile up and one major issue that honestly Jeanine is better than me because that issue would have to go 8 years prior.
This will have you laughing, in tears, angry and fanning yourself, oh you thought marriage in crisis no spice? Yeah no that is not their problem. I cannot wait to learn more about the Ohio crew and so glad to see Leroy happy.

❤️🩹 I’ll fight for you until I’m blue in the face Jeanine. Because you are mine. And there’s no way I’m letting you go without putting my whole self on the line.
❤️🩹 Dyl- Oh, he’s gonna hear it,I can’t let you stay here and have your little Hallmark movie moment where the single mom comes to her small-town farm and falls in love with her brother’s best friend because her big-city boyfriend is mean.
J- Oh You’re not?
Dyl- No way. The villain’s getting the girl this time.

This book hit me in all the feels. I love a book that will give me a good cry, but I have to be in the mood for the catharsis that comes with it. I was certainly not prepared for how much this book made me feel. I found myself having to stop for a good cry over and over. Maybe I just identified with these two way too much but the realness and the rawness of these character's hurdles really dug deep. Dani did an amazing job at bringing these characters to life and to make them feel real and relatable. Definitely a strongly emotional read, full of second chances, romance, deep love, family, spice, and hockey. Cannot recommend this one enough.

☆☆☆☆☆/5
▪︎ hockey romance
▪︎ second chance
▪︎ MC's in their 30
▪︎ mental health rep
☄️🧡🌞🦊🍁
finally a hockey romance set in adulthood.
i really enjoyed the moving part and having to recenter their lives and couple.
i love J, for learning to be herself unapologetically and getting the help she needs but also for setting boundaries with her mother in law and husband. she was in need of a equal partner and she finally got him.
Dylan, is the cliché hockey player but when he almost lose his wife, he finally realize the d*uche he was to his wife and kids.
I love kids so much, and alice, grey and bella stole the show for me.
it was a really fun read and im sure going to check the rest of Dani's book.
Thank you @Sunnybabepr for sending me a copy of this book!

Dani Galliaro you have written a wonderful story on a tough topic. I felt everything the characters were feeling through out the book. Jeanine and Dylan had their highs, lows and happy mediums. I was there with there with them - happy, sad, crying and smiling. I definitely had a smile on my face by the end of the story. You did a phenomenal job.
