DNF @ 35%. I just don't care about any of the characters.

WOW WOW WOW!! I've read a few comments of people putting this book off because they feel it would be sad, but please, please read it. I also really loved The Author's note at the end as someone from America. ;-)
This book is a romcom while the group of characters in their mid thirties are in the midst of grief. I didn't know how this would work without being cringey or cheesy, but it was honestly just realistic. Life is hard, sad, exciting, and funny all at different times, but also can happen all at the same time.
Mhairi really humanized the characters, which I really appreciated. There's not one single villian, it's just a group of humans, making mistakes. You want to feel anger towards some of them at times, but the MC helps you remember that they're only human. It also has both great character growth, and realism of how male and female friendships (and friendships in general) can be so complicated.
I started the very beginning of this book pitying the MC, feeling like she was a bit pathetic, and finished it being so proud of her, and admiring her!!!
I will be thinking about this book for a long time, and will be recommending it to everyone I know, haha!

Even though this was without a lot of time with the main characters being together, I liked this quite a lot, and the ending really got to me.

Not at all what I thought it was going to be but I’m glad. So much pain, so much healing, and a few tears.
