The events of Collided overlap those of the first book, Throttled, but shift the perspective to different characters. This makes the plot a little too predictable to my liking. The added insight into Sophie' and Liam's characters is nice, altough it feels somewhat insignificant to the whole group of F1 people in the series: the others were given barely any time to shine during this book (just enough to hint at / build a shaky premise for the next sequel). I think the main gain here is to see
if/how
Sophie's fuck it list
gets completed
— so if you're here for the smut and a (tropes:
friends to friends with benefits to lovers
) love story, you'll get what you bargain for, but otherwise this book is easily skippable.

Its alright, nothing spectacular but the spice is right. It’s more adventurous than Throttled, but I’m hoping that Wrecked kicks it up another notch!

Okay...I'd still say I enjoyed this book but definitely not as much as the first. The characters annoyed me a bit too much. Mostly Sophie if I'm being honest.

For a self-proclaimed feminist, she sure does make a lot of digs at other women. "Leia's the only princess I respect". Gross. Take the internalized misogyny elsewhere. It's all "I wear sneakers, not heels. I like Star Wars, not Disney Princesses. I like burgers, not salad". You're not like other girls, we get it. Maybe grow up and find another personality trait.

(Also the constant comments from everyone about how small she was gave me the ick but that wasn't really her fault)

That makes it sound like I completely hated her but I don't. Those stupid comments just really got on my nerves. I admired how she set boundaries and stood up for herself. She's knows her worth and that's something to be proud of. I liked her character development and her growth as a person for sure.

Liam irritated me as well but that's just because he's an idiot.

Overall, I enjoyed it and I'll be getting the physical copy eventually but I'm not nearly as likely to reread it as I am the first one.
