Least Heat-Moon's story is amazing. I picked this book up in a thrift store years ago & it sat on my shelf forever. I finally picked it up for a class for school & am now kicking myself for not reading it sooner. This book is raw, emotional but also informative, funny at times & bittersweet. His travels through nowhere towns brings you rich history, interesting people & makes me wonder what would come if someone tried this in 2023. Would the reactions be the same? One thing is for sure, it would cost infinitely more than $454 & some gas cards. I cannot wait to pick up the other books in this trilogy!
