Fun to visit the characters of Creekwood, even if through a series of emails. This got lost a bit in audiobook format with all the stating of email addresses, but still, oh to be young again.

Finally one of my libraries had this one! I have been eyeing it for a while. This one is a short novella featuring our cast from earlier books. I loved Bram/Simon's exchanges though I was a bit worried about them at times (given the long distance). And yes, at times it felt like we missed something because we only see mails. BUT I still enjoyed this one and had fun seeing what they were up to in college/how they were doing. It was a quick read and I am happy with this novella. Now can we please just have a full book with Bram and Simon again. No Leah please.

-1 star because it contains Leah... and everyone knows my feelings on her.
-0.5 star as Abby and Leah just feel very not fitting and I was way happier when Abby was with someone else.

I liked the previous books in the Simonverse series enough that reading this novella sounded like a good idea, but I ended up not liking it at all. Maybe it has just been long enough since reading those books that I don't remember or care about it or the characters anymore. I didn't feel like it added anything to the series, there wasn't much of a plot or character development in my opinion and it didn't hold my interest. I also am not a fan of the emails back and forth, so that hurt it a lot too. Overall it took me way too long to read for a short novella and unless you are obsessed with the characters and relationships from the series, it is not a necessary read.

I really needed this. With all that's happening in the news (though really when does the news ever stop being a source of worry/anxiety) and the trouble I've been having gettin through my other books, this one was a lifesaver. I loved returning to these characters and the format of the book. AS always Bram and Simon are delightful (though I wanna know who gave Bram permission to be THAT romantic all the time. It was ridiculous). But what really surprised me was Leah and Abby's relationship. Leah has always been a character that I've always had mixed feelings about and her book, Leah on the Offbeat, is in the same boat. The first half of this book I was entertained by her and Abby's romance but was more invested in Simon and Bram. However as the story progressed that changes and I finished with a new appreciation and love for them.

This novella was really cute.  All the emails made for such an adorable and interesting take on telling a story.  Learning what happened to some of the lovely characters from this series.  It was so funny and such a quick and lighthearted read.  I really enjoyed it!
