I saw someone talk about this book on TikTok and was interested to read this story on Kindle Unlimited.
"Give Me More" is a spicy romance that follows three characters: Isabel, Hunter, and Drake. Isabel and Hunter are happily married and have a very fulfilling sex life, in part because Hunter is part owner of the Salacious Players' Club, a sex club. Drake has been Hunter's best friend for as far back as the pair can remember and has been a cornerstone in Isabel's and Hunter's relationship from day one. On a trip to explore what other clubs offer their patrons, Hunter asks Drake to have sex with Isabel while he watches.
I was pleasantly surprised by who much I enjoyed this story, and how well written it truly was. It takes a skilled author to write such explicit content and not make any moment feel cringey. The opening scene is Isabel and Hunter having sex, and despite jumping straight into the down and dirty, the story felt authentic, and I believed in everyone's relationship with each other.
Isabel and Hunter have such raw honesty with each other, and if a couple wants to pursue this type of sexual situation, that is so pertinent. They are not afraid to call each other out, and they are both open-minded enough to hear out the other when they share a new fantasy. Their relationship would be interesting enough to read about because their characters are already dynamic, but adding Drake just takes the story to another level.
Drake is the playboy that does not think he is capable of a committed relationship. Despite this, he is the best friend to Hunter, and he watches over Isabel as if she were his. I loved getting to see him realize he can be a relationship guy, it just takes the right person, or people, to bring out that side of him.
This book does touch on some internalized homophobia, and it does get very serious and heartbreaking for quite a few chapters. I appreciated this story arch because it made the character feel more authentic, but I wish it was not something I had to see him work through. I wanted a spicy novel with three characters, not to explore homophobic daddy issues. I will say I ultimately enjoyed and was happy to see where the character ended up in his coming out journey.
Additionally, this story did a trope in the epilogue that I do not enjoy. It did not completely turn me off from the story, but I was not exactly pleased either.
I will definitely be interested in picking up more from the Salacious Players Club series.

"I've spent the last decade drilling it into her head - the ones who love you, show it."

It's a no-brainer when Hunter and Isabel take a road-trip to tour other clubs that Drake comes along. The three of them have always done things together, ever since they both saw Isabel years ago walking to a library and she eventually fell in love with Hunter. But as the roads fly by, lines blur between friendship and something more, leaving them wondering if they can come back from a vacation of experimenting with a future they all want.

This is it. This is my favorite. I don't know if anything can top this. This had ALL the vibes I love, from Hunter discovering his bisexuality, to unpacking religious trauma, to Isabel being a total mood (and self insert for me, down to the accountant parents, damn). I LOVED this book. I want to tattoo it on my soul. There were so many incredible moments, because, once again, Sara Cate doesn't half-ass anything and did a wonderful job exploring sexuality and what it means to discover things about yourself later in life.

One of my highlights was, "Hunter could break my spine and I'd thank him" and honestly, that stands. I loved him dearly, just as much as I loved Caleb and Jake in Pucking Around, which also has incredibly similar best friends to lovers vibes. I eat this UP. It's my kryptonite and I don't care. Am I excited for Maggie's book? Kind of, but also I could just flip back to page one and start again with Hunter and Drake and Isabel dancing around each other and discovering how to ask for what they want. 10/10 one of my favorite reads in 2023.
