This one is probably my favorite, so far, of the Aurora Teagarden series. The mystery is a real page turner, as is Roe's uneasiness as she settles into her new marriage. A fine mystery novel with an endearing set of characters.

This one was a little grimmer, more up close than the rest of this series so far. Newlywed Aurora and her husband have bought a house out in the country, a house with a mystery behind it. The previous owners disappeared almost 7 years earlier. Aurora being herself, she has to investigate. But there are some unsettling secrets turning up about her new husband as well. Why has he installed a couple in the mother-in-law apartment of the new house?

The mystery picks up a bit about halfway through when Aurora decided to investigate the Julius family disappearance instead of just talking about it. She stumbled on only one clue by sheer dumb luck, a new record low for her. The mystery's resolution is a little unrealistic, but exciting nonetheless. There are a few unresolved plot threads, which is unusual as this series so far is typically composed of self-contained storylines within each book. Still, it was fun and fast-paced, and completely what I expected.

Adding a review 4 years later - i enjoyed this series, but I'm happy it's finished. No plans to reread

Another one in the series. Nothing super special about this one. Pretty typical plot and writing for the author and characters.
