I definitely appreciate it as a piece of comics history, and the scope of what they were doing is enormous, but if felt bloated and sometimes confusing with how many moving pieces there were with some important bits seeming to have happened in tie in issues that are referenced in a few points. And there’s a lot of overly dramatic narration that I think is just an old school style but isn’t my jam. I’m glad I read it, but odds of ever rereading it are SLIM

Meh, this is a good story, antimatter gets into the world and it creates a lot of disaster in all universes, The Monitor is trying to save this worlds by recruiting the most powerful superheroes in each earth, once they are reunited the Monitor dies and his brother the Anti-Monitor tries to destroy the universe with Psycho Pirate's help.

In here we've got some important casualties, supergirl trying to stop the Anti-Monitor and Flash by destroying the Anti-Matter weapon.

The problem in here is that there a lotta characters, most of all will be unknown if you haven't read comics from 30 years ago, it also contains a lot of dialog; but it's like a classic so...

Good story, it's just an extremely dense read.

I know it's a monumental comic book event and it's kind of a classic, but I just don't want to read it. I barely know any of the characters, the art isn't very captivating, and I don't even know what's going on in the plot either. I wanted to read COIE and then read Flashpoint, but I think I'll just skip ahead to Flashpoint.

Finally finished my "Reverse Crisis Complete" trilogy (I started with the whole Final Crisis, and then to Infinite Crisis + 52, and here we are as I finished Crisis on Infinite Earths). I just have to say that I agree with the series' afterword, that there is no other crossover series that could beat Crisis (Civil War was the closest second I ever got). It was well-crafted, with every detail taken care of. However, I think the older ones appreciate it more than I do, and the younger ones not so much.

Very interesting but I feel like you really need to gave knowledge about the DC Universe before reading this.
