The Sprites used to control the blooming of the flowers, the leafing of the trees and all the beauty that nature spreads but when humans came they took over the task. It goes like that until one day the Sprite Wisteria grows restless and bored. She finds a human struggling with a garden and she does what she can to help the struggling plants. In the end the Sprites decide that can work in tandem with the humans to build a healthy and thriving land.
The story was good but a bit rushed. A deeper dive in the history of the Sprites would have been nice but overall it was a cute story. The artwork was also gorgeous which really helped tell the story. It left me with a huge smile and hoping for a possible sequel.

Only took me a few minutes to read. SUPER cute! I loved the premise, characters and art style. I agree with a friend who compared it to Ghibli. The only reason I give it three stars instead of four is because it feels entirely too short!
I "started" this in March aka I thought I'd read it and then I just never did and left it as currently reading.... this book is 88 pages. Even if I read a page a day since then... nevermind lmao
The art in this is so beautiful. I was just admiring so many frames as I read through! The Sprite and the Gardener is a cute, quick read about a sprite and a gardener (no way!) who both have the same goal and love of watching something grow into something bigger, better, and more beautiful. Wisteria works in secret until Elena, our gardener, catches her after a long day's work. The two bring their love of gardening together and create something magical!
Literally the lowest of stakes - nothing complex happens! Wisteria just wants to fit in with her new friends but while they're happy just hanging around all day, Wisteria dreams for something more. So she goes and finds it! When she finds Elena hard at work, she is determined to make something special happen and here is where our story really begins.
I loved it. It was just simple, cute, and fun. It's literally ridiculous that it took me this long to clear this LOL.
