This is a perfect example of gripping fantasy. The plot (albeit quite predictable for me) was gripping, the characters addictive and the setting so well developed. Even though I'm sure I know a few of the big reveals coming up I cannot wait for the next book - I just hate that I have to wait for it!!

I have no words. Better than book 1, and now the pressure is on for book 3!

Who knew I would happily read 1400+ pages of horny Bloodborne fanfiction in a single year.

We return to Gabriel locked in his tower, in a land ruled by vampires. He continues his story of how he lost the Grail, the world's only salvation to bring back the sun. We refreshingly get a second POV in this book, which I really enjoyed.

If you haven't read the first book, you're really going to have to in order for this one to make sense. We see more characters introduced, Gabriel getting found out for his horrible deeds last book, and we also learn more about the vampire powers and their lore.

Some of the twists are a bit predictable, but I liked them. The art is just as gorgeous as it was last book. And yes, everyone is bisexual and thirsty. Looking forward to the third book.
