Of the three books, this has been my least favorite. Things are a bit too quickly wrapped up in spots and I actually found myself looking more and more at how much more I had left to go to be done.

Things I loved - I still loved the connection to the group of friends. The bonds here are wonderful and everyone should have framily in their lives. I also loved the sisterly connection that spread throughout the story, and have grown to adore Nesta as a result. To bring it together in the end with
Spoiler their dad was a surprise to me, which was mostly well received. I just wish they had gotten a chance to have a little more time with him.

Things I didn't like as much - I got a bit bored with the battle scenes. They got to be almost repetitive to the point that I glossed over them, and I know they were pivotal in the storyline. Didn't like the spy or not spy element of characters. Those characters were never really well liked, and as a result, I lost interest. Finally, I agree with other reviewers who stated that bisexuality was so briefly mentioned and then poof, never mentioned again. It made it seem almost as an afterthought to put it into a book.

Still planning on reading the other books in the series, but this one made me wonder why. We'll see how the next two books are to then determine if I continue with SJM.

This was a good installment. The drama, the intrigue, the world building, the pacing. All great. Would have given 5 stars except SJM can't write war battles to save her life.

Everyone is described as an endless well of power, yet every little fight they get into, their magic depletion is ridiculously quick with no explanation about how it is restored. During the final battle in the book, the volume/number of soldiers was hard to comprehend. Details about each courts army were completely glossed over and made them seem small and weak.

I also take issue with building up the bone carver as this wicked villain that could utterlly annihilate an invading force, and he dies within the first hour of battle like all he could do is swing a scythe.

Also why did Feyre only burn her father corpse and not the king of hybern too!?! Totally going to ite her later.

This ending feels like it was pressured into finishing in order to reach a deadline.

Feyra does things that make me question why are you like this or why didn’t you commit, but what saved me is the side characters in the story and the development, especially Nesta and Mor but I do have a bone to pick with her but ce la vi.
