The ending of this was crazy. There were so many good quotes that were giving me SJM vibes and I loved the tension. The politics and plot complexities really ratcheted up in the last half with the world really expanding. This is definitely one of those enemies to lovers were there is truly hatred and pain between the two. I honestly can’t wait to see how that plays out from the few chapters of perspective we got from Knox’s perspective. Additionally, I loved how we got a lot more insight in his friends’ personalities in the second half. Obviously this was definitely a build up to the true plot of the series but I feel like the introductory mystery of Aria’s sister going miss wasn’t flushed out as much as it could be. I’m curious to see how the author handles things in the future.

Dark, twisted and hot. Some of it is a bit far off the realm of possible for me but it was interesting enough to keep me engaged.

Until 95% this book was 0.5 stars. And I’m grateful to myself for reading the full book. The last 5% was just perfect. But OMG this was all about sex, the writing was awful and the relationship between MCs was terrible. It kinda confused me because some scenes romanticised rape. And then the rape happened. And it almost made me vomit. Only from around 95% that the story began, seriously. Now I’m thinking: should I start the second book or just pretend that I never read it?

One year later and I’m coming back here to say that this book still makes me sick just remembering a few lines and that I’m not reading the second and probably I never will.

This was so bad it was hilarious.

The “plot” if you could even call it that doesn’t start until like more than half ways through the book.

It’s just the most terrible, corny, overly descriptive cringy porno I have EVER read. And I’ve read A LOT of smut.

The end was ok, this could have been such a good story but it was so tainted. Ugh
