Too many similes, too many words lifted from other people. The overall concept is interesting and understandable, but I didn't care for the the execution. In short, not for me.

This book was so emotional and healing at the same time. The stories of these women throughout history and how they connect to the main character is so moving. Jamie Ford has such a wonderful writing style that moves you as a reader. I ugly cried at the end because it was perfect. I wish I could go back and reread this book for the first time again.

Really bleak with a lot of weird pseudoscience. I regret not bailing sooner.

This story tells the story of 7 different Chinese women and the generational trauma they experience. I loved each character and their story and Ford did a fantastic job of portraying each. The ending did a great job of tying everything together and this book exceeded my expectations. Such a good, unique read.
