LOVED this book so much!!!

lately i've been a bit of a lazy reader only reading here and there but i knew i wanted to finish this one and so i sat down and read. and my gosh, did this book not disappoint me.

i loved the family dynamics, the friendships, how Islam was broadly discussed as well as interracial marriages and the problem of islamophobia that unfortunately is still a very active problem in the world. i loved how there was not only one romance that was told but two and both beautifully told might i add!

i think this book would also be good for non-muslims to read as it's a good insight into what ramadan is all about and a lot of the core values of muslims and what our religion is truly about.

this is a book i will no doubt be talking about for ages and it's definitely up there in my favourites! i'll definitely be re-reading it too! it was so wholesome.

this is the perfect book to read during ramadan! it’s such a cute rom-com that deals with other important topics like islamphobia. the romance is adorable and the characters are so vivid and real! i love the family relationships too! i enjoyed reading this book a lot!

This was such a cute & wholesome read! I love that Islam and other sensitive topics were broadly mentioned and discussed! I feel so close to the characters, even the ones that didn't appear as much (I wish I got more than glimpses of Ibrahim, he seemed like such a sweet and nice guy) I also enjoyed following Dua as she learned more and worked through some of her issues; watching her grow into herself was a satisfying and touching experience!! Lastly, this feeling of a tight community made me feel like I was there too, and it made my Ramadan less lonely and more fun! I definitely recommend picking up this book!!! (and I recommend reading it during Ramadan too!)

This had some great messages on interracial marriages and Islamaphobia. It was also nice to read a novel that was written for Muslims--not as many explanations as some authors have. My only problem with this was that it read like a Pakistani drama.
