So the first half of this book was perfect. It was slow burn, friends to lovers and I thought the relationship between Lia and Breaker was adorable. Five stars.
Then...
We got to the spice, and this was one of those romance books where the spice just got in the way of the story for me. I am not a fan of all the sexual content happening before the mains even share a kiss and once it started there was very little of the cute relationship from before and just a bunch of spice that i ended up just skimming through.
With all three of the Cane Brothers books, one thing i just could not get on board with was how the siblings talk about their sex lives. That is just WEIRD to me. I would never go into such explicit detail with my siblings.
I still enjoyed the story, I'm glad I read it and this one was probably my favorite of the three.

This is one of my favorite MQ books, and possibly my favorite of the Cane Brother's Series.
I love a good plot to steal the girl, and Breaker did it while still being a supportive best friend and not a saboteur.

After reading 5 books written by Meghan Quinn, and an Easter egg from So Not Meant to Be, I could guess what this book would be about - friends to lovers. Great to read about the Cane brothers and how they navigate as brothers and lovers. More of a lighthearted funny novel with Breaker and Lia’s decade long friendship starting in college. Great humor and great spiccccce.
