I’m so sad this series with the Cane brothers is over. I love them! With my whole heart! What do I do now?!

So the last Cane brother to settle down and fall in love is Breaker however if you really think about it he might have been the first to fall in love. He just didn’t realize it.

Breaker and Lia met in college and became the best of friends. Breaker thought about asking Lia out but she kind of friend zoned him. He didn’t seem to mind until a decade later when Lia is getting married and Breaker realizes he’s about to lose the love of his life.

This My Best Friends Wedding retelling was really great!

i love a good friends to lovers but this felt so…. forced at the end? like idk, breaker’s realization and everything was perfect, but when they started being intimate and she was super confused and he wouldn’t talk to her??????? nope ! also Something about the girls saying that’s the cane brothers’ mo bothered me because the author tried to make them all different only for them to end up being the same font, different styles???? idk, i wasn’t such a huge fan. also fuck brian.

The definition of an excellent rom-com

First and foremost, this book is inspired by the movie My Best Friend’s Wedding and we all know how that ends…it’s safe to say I started this story hopeful for a more desirable outcome. Did that wish end up happening? You’ll just have to read it yourself.

This book is so charming and sweet. I love the bond between all the main characters. The storytelling between them was so superb I felt like I was one of the crew. Don’t even get me started on the humor. This book had me chuckling so much, from the very first chapter. If you’re a movie aficionado, this is definitely a great read for you, as there is no shortage or references to great movies and even shows! My favorite is the fight club reference. It was just so unique weaving that in there.

As for Lia and her Pickle, absolutely loved them. It’s refreshing seeing two people be so true to themselves despite the societal labels of being called “nerds”. You can really see the connection they have from their first meeting. It was basically a same person, different font kind of thing.

This is a definite must-read, especially if you’re a fan of rom-coms or even if you just want a laugh. It might just be better than the movie it’s inspired by.
