the book progresses rly well & its such a fun and light read!!!

“When I first met you, I thought you were everything I needed in my life. You liked all the things I liked. You made me laugh. You put me in my place. And you were so fucking beautiful that I told myself I was going to ask you out. Unfortunately for me, you were looking for a friend, not a boyfriend, and I’m glad you were because I can’t imagine enduring the last decade of our lives without each other.”.

After a very disappointing second installment of the series, Meghan delivers again with this book.
I was very hesitant regarding this book because I knew the main characters spend half the book with other people. I am a very realistic person in real life, but I will always chose the fairytale destined type of love to read about and it irritates me when other man/woman are a huge part of any book I read.

Breaker is definitely my favorite Cane brother. I still prefer Huxley's book better because grumpy men are my favorite characters to read about. I am still mad how Meghan failed me with JP and Kelsey's book. Especially with how I love them in this book more than I loved them in their own book.

Chapter 9 and 10 are the highlight of the story.
Chapter 9 was very well-written, I almost cried with how lonely Lia was and how empty she felt. Chapter 10 was the turning point of the story. How Breaker knew he was in love with his best friend. The description was amazing.

Friends and family always thinks it is best to refrain from giving true opinions about someone's partner. Like if Breaker was such close friend to Lia, he then should be able to tell his true opinion because it is literally his place to do so. He should have said something long before she agreed to marry that man.

I always enjoy the couple more before they are actually together being lovey-duvey. It was no different this time. They got together pretty fast once she borke up with her fiance, it was exactly the same night. It was over-sexual than what was needed and I don't agree with what was Breaker thinking.

Brothers dynamic with their wives was more evident with this book. I always enjoy any wholesome family moments in fiction and in real life. It made slightly un-comfortable how openly they discuss their sexual lives with each others. I am sorry but the conversation between the women should not all be centered around the orgasms delivered by Cane Brothers and Brothers should not know if their young brother dry humped the love of his life or not.

I don't like Lia that much. She is mean to Breaker's love interest for no reason. Initiating to sleep with her boy best friend in one bed while being another men.

This book was on the average side for me, comparing to the other cane brothers and their books. It sort of lacked for me - I mean who doesn’t love Breaker, and Lia was innocently cute in her own way. It was your stereotypical read of life long best friends to lovers who don’t want to ruin their friendship.

Why they added this ridiculous (completely out of character of the mmc) drama at the end of the novel is beyond me.

Lia and Breaker have been friends for a decade. Meeting in college over their love for scrabble they always were close. When Breaker has to take a trip back from work due to a lawsuit she enlists his help when planning her wedding in 5 weeks. Quickly he realizes how much he really loves her and how her fiancé doesn’t treat her how he would. After she breaks off the engagement she realizes everything she wanted was literally next door.

This one is my favourite.
