I really enjoyed this one! I love nerds and Breaker is the embodiment of a HOT NERD. I appreciate that the tension was front loaded and there was no 3rd act breakup. I really liked Lia and Breaker together. I don't think Lia was my favorite female lead out of the 3 -- I think Lottie is my favorite, and I liked her even more as she was developed more as a secondary character. But I think Breaker might be my favorite mmc. I'm glad Huxley's book coming first worked best for me; he reminded me a lot of Declan from the Dreamland Billionaire series, but I didn't like Declan nearly as much. I didn't laugh as much in this one or So Not Meant to Be, but I liked watching Lia and Breaker as friends morph into something more. The spice was SPICING. I think A Not So Meet Cute and this book had the best spice.

I wish we had gotten more of Breaker's role at the company. But, I also liked that he helps Lia through the tough wedding planning appointments when The Beave is steamrolling over Lia. Brian drove me crazy. The fact that he always capitulated to his mother, even letting her insult Lia right in front of him to Lia's face! I couldn't believe it. Lia's luck with the church and the wedding invites was unfortunate. I felt so bad for her. Of course, it didn't warrant The Beave's wrath/snootiness. The Beave is described as Emily Gilmore on steroids (or something like that), and it was so accurate. Emily comes around, The Beave is past the point of no return. When Lia finally blows up at both The Beave and Brian, it felt so vindicating.

Breaker and Lia's scenes after they get together are so endearing. Their private Disneyland tour was so fun! I think part of me feels that being in the crowds and feeling the emotions of everyone enjoying the park together is part of the experience of going to a theme park. You can't argue that Breaker and Lia's experience isn't special, it's just, again, not very relatable for 99.9% of us.

I love the scenes with the gals at brunch/"knitting" club. Lottie and Kelsey's irreverence was so funny! I love how open and unapologetic they are about sex, and how supportive/encouraging they are of Lia and Breaker getting together. Those scenes were definitely some of the funniest. Again, I think Kelsey and Lottie made better secondary characters. Their insecurities and inner monologues were kind of tiring. Lia's self-consciousness was a lot less tedious. They didn't feel quite as grating/circular/repetitive, like Kelsey's did. So I think Kelsey's character was perhaps better written/less annoying overall. She's a little more reserved and sweet. I appreciated her as her own person, but there's something I just really like about direct, honest, at times crass communication. I also really enjoyed watching Breaker guide Lia. It was hot (especially in the spicy scenes), and also very sweet and wholesome at the same time. He's so patient with her. That said, I think if Quinn had focused more on Breaker's insecurities, I could imagine I'd find some of his inner monologuing a little tedious too. However, there was just a lot less of that.

JP and Huxley were also great when "helping" Breaker. They give him so much shit and it's very entertaining. All the group texts/texting in general was well done. Quinn is very good at dialogue/banter, up there with Elsie Silver, Emily Henry, Lauren Roberts, Liz Tomforde, and Christina Lauren (to name a few authors who write great banter).

This trilogy is a great palate cleanser. I've read some really heavy books, and the election results that happened a week and a half ago was also depressing. Being able to escape into these books was really pleasant, kind of like a...spicy hug? Anyways, I really like that all the brothers are so supportive of each other. I wish we had seen more of their family dynamic beyond the 3 of them, like their parents? But, overall, I really liked these books and these characters, more than the Dreamland Billionaire trilogy books.
