By far my favourite book in this series. Breaker and Ophelia are best friends and she is struggling with her future mother in law while planning her wedding. Breaker offers to help her out and keep the mother in law in check but after Ophelia has enough of Brian not standing up for her she leaves him and things start up with breaker.
Once again, meghans dialogue was stilted and weird but apart from that I really loved the dynamics of this book. I love a friends to lovers story.

Such a good audio book! Although sweet romances aren't my usual cup of tea, this one had me hooked from the get-go. The characters were refreshingly rational thinkers, and even the antagonists were well-rounded, avoiding the over-the-top villainy often found in similar books. I appreciated how it showed that just because someone isn't right for you doesn't mean they're a terrible person—they just weren't the one for you at that moment. Well, except for the mother-in-law. She's the one exception who could be pushed into a beaver pond without anyone batting an eye.
Another aspect that stood out was the strong support network surrounding the male MC, which is pretty rare in most books. Both MCs received solid advice from their friends, adding depth and realism to the story. And let's not forget the spice in this book—it's "chef's kiss", so hot!!
