This series dragged things out. The result is that we kind of knew where this was heading and it was just a long winded telling of the story fraught with over and under reactions. The sum total result for the series was a big fat, meh.
Oh my god, you guys, I don't care if the ending was too "fairy-tale", it made me cry. Like some others, I'd guessed a bit of it from the last book, but it was still exciting to watch it all unravel. Perfect ending to the series.
This is the final book in the Georgina Kincade Succubus series. If you've read this far nothing I have to say will come as a surprise. I have a love-hate relationship with this series. It's an enjoyable, fun read that I fly through, but I spend a lot of time wanting to throttle the MC's. In the last book Georgina and Seth patched things up and are back together. Of course this means Maddie's heart is broken and Georgina has quit the book store to avoid the glares. If only they knew she'd helped Seth cheat! Then they'd really hate both of them the way I do. Anyway... In the last book a sleepy Seth also referred to Georgina as "Letha", her original incarnation. And still Georgina doesn't get it! Her helper Erik is killed just as he reveals there is in fact something fishy about her contract(s). We've pretty much got a line by line drawing of what's going on. It could get wrapped up in a few chapters. Nah, lets make it last.
In the final installment Georgina is working as one of Santa's elves, in a short, tight, shimmery outfit (wha?!). She can't seem to find a job in Seattle, but archdemon Jerome drafts her onto his demonic bowling team. Apparently that's how demons prove their bad-@ssness. Yes, it's silly and pointless, but it is amusing. When Georgina's transfer orders come in she's blown away. She's being shipped off to the devil's playland, Las Vegas. It's the perfect place to be a succubus. Turns out her best friend Bastien will be there as well and within 24 hours of being there she's handed her dream job as a dancer. The transfer is sudden even by Hell's standards, but Georgina barely blinks. Well, she moans because this will take her from Seth. It's only when she gets home to her friends that Roman is able to force her to realize she's walking right into a very pretty trap that's forcing her out of Seattle.
Georgina suffers from what I call "stupid heroine syndrome" or SHS. To build suspense the author makes an otherwise intelligent woman incredibly stupid and unable to see the forest for the trees. I would assume that most of us figured out long ago that. So Georgina can't figure out why she's being shipped to Vegas. There's little adventure in this book. It's all about Georgina trying to figure out Hell's great plans and being incredibly dense. There's of course angst and breaking up in the middle. All very predictable.
My biggest issue with this book is that the general ideas of book 5 and 6 could have been merged, resulting in one good book, instead of one okay book and one final book that dragged out the end. I am a reader who likes to read the HEA for myself, which is why I read this book. If you don't need to see the HEA in written form and can assume it this book really adds nothing new. It is a bit of a farewell to the boys though, who I'll miss.
Seth and Georgina are a nice couple in that they are truly in love and a sweet couple, but oh so dense! As many before me have said, there's a lot to love and hate in these books. Overall not a series that goes on my list of books to read again.

Hell's great mission is to keep Seth and Georgina apart because they're star crossed lovers and Seth has been with Georgina for centuries in one body or another. Now we know there are two contracts and I would say it's pretty obvious who contract #2 is. Even Roman gets it, and yet Georgina, whose life revolves around Seth doesn't?My biggest issue with this book is that the general ideas of book 5 and 6 could have been merged, resulting in one good book, instead of one okay book and one final book that dragged out the end. I'm going to miss all of these people more than anything!
5 důvodů, proč dávám 5 hvězdiček:
1. Přečetla jsem to za méně než jeden den.
2. Je to Richelle Mead!
3. Je na tom poznat, že je celá série od začátku promyšlená aby skončila takhle.
4. Přestože jsem zhruba věděla, jak to skončí, dokázalo mě to překvapit.
5. Carter a poníci!
Asi jako u všech dílů téhle série je těch pět hvězdiček poněkud nadhodnocených, ale nemůžu jinak. Prostě zbožňuju, jak Richelle Mead píše.

While I liked the series as a whole, I can't give this book a higher rating mostly because it felt like it was all wrap-up. As though the author or the editor (or someone higher) decided that a sixth book needed to be written instead of doing the whole revelation at the end of book five (or book four, for that matter).
It's an okay book, but only okay. It doesn't have the mystery elements that the other books have and that's what kept me reading these. There were some interesting ideas (how does Hell deal with contract issues, for instance, and the dichotomy of technology and ancient ritual) but unless the reader really hadn't been paying attention, everything that's revealed in this story has already been revealed in previous books. Even the mystery of who Georgina's shadowy husband was.
In all, I think this book could have been condensed and added to the previous one and made for a better story.

Nice tidy ending to Georgina's story!

Now where is my Roman?? I smell a spin-off!!! *fingers crossed*
Im really giving this book 4.5 stars. It was sooooo sooooo soooo good!!! The only reason why Im not giving it 5 stars was because it was very predictable! However, I still loved it! I really hope that the author left things open with Roman because she is going to write a book about him! I hope Carter is it in too!!
Succubus Revealed is the 6th and final book of the Georgina Kincaid series by Richelle Mead. While you expect most final books to go out with a bang, this series kind of went out with a fizzle. But on the bright side, there was a happy ending (Who doesn’t love a happy ending!).

While Meads other series aimed at YA, (Vampire Academy) continued to get better and better with each successive book. I felt this series did the opposite...not to say that it was terrible. But I just wish the series had kept the momentum that it started out with.
I would have to say, the biggest letdown of this series is that slowly but surely the small quirks and charms that drew me to this series in the first place, got lost somewhere along the way. The main character Georgina, appeared to get ‘blonder’ with each book, and I found myself asking “How can you not see what’s right in front of you?!”
There were also not enough sex scenes in this particular book...there was only 1 to be precise. Not that I’m a pervert or anything, but I like a good sex scene or two in my books, especially considering the main character is a succubus ...HER JOB IS TO SLEEP WITH MEN FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! Despite this I could see why there was little sex in this book, considering the main character (Georgina) got soft and fell in love with a mortal... Monogamy ensues...blah blah blah.
The strength of this book however, was how the author managed to wrap up the entire series, and I must admit she did a fantastic job. Mead completely delivered a well thought-out ending that tied up all the loose ends and didn’t leave you with more questions than when you started. The final chapters of this book literally had me on the edge of my seat, praying for a happy ending.
Overall I have to say this was not my favourite book in the series, and books 1-4 were the best; full of adventure, mystery and quick witted one liners from Carter. However it is essential to read the entire series, to appreciate it in its entirety.
