I saw this book on Booktok and was wondering if it was worth the hype. My wonderful friends got me this for my 22nd birthday. Let’s just say this was a super easy, light read that deals with some heavy topics such a domestic violence, grief and toxic relationships well.

This book follows Ava Breevort, she thinks the universe is conspiring against. She is forced to return to Phoenix to bury a childhood friend and she thinks the worse is over, until she gets to the airport and finds out a cloud of volcanic ash traveling from overseas has delayed her flight back to Boston. Her last attempt to salvage the trip was destroyed by arrogant Scotsman, Caleb Scott who takes the last first-class seat out from under her. Then over the course of their journey home, their antagonism somehow lands them in bed for the steamiest layover Ava’s ever had.  Ava thinks that is the last time she will see Caleb and he will be forever known as the guy she had the best sex with . . . until Caleb shows up on her doorstep. When pure chance pulls Ava back into Caleb’s orbit, he proposes they enjoy their friends with benefits whilst he is stranded in Boston. Ava agrees, knowing her hearts in no danger since she can barely stand Caleb and his existence in her life is temporary. Not long after they started this arrangement Ava realizes she’s made a terrible error because as it’s turns out Caleb Scott isn’t so unlikeable after all. When his stay in Boston becomes permanent, Ava must decide whether to fight her feelings for him or give into them.

I want a Caleb please and thank you. I thought he was hilarious and smoking hot and so overprotective but also wants Eva to realise her full potential and have fun whilst doing it. I thought this storyline was slightly cheesy but in a way that makes me want more and made me slightly addicted. I loved all the characters in this book (except Vince, F You Vince and Nick, he can go and screw himself.). I loved the constantly internal debate that Ava was having, like yes, this man is the best sex I ever had, but he’s an arse and I don’t want him more than that. I think Harper is a kick-ass woman and I would die for her.

I would love to see another book in this series like the Twisted Series by Ana Huang, where we see another character from this universe get the HEA they deserve (I want Harper to have her own book and get her own happily ever after please and thank you.)
