Terrible book! The only reason I kept reading was to see what the explanation for everything was, and that as very underwhelming and unlikely too.
Very poor writing, blank protagonist - typical superman Jack Bauer type who was also good with kids. All characters spoke in exactly the same voice to the extent I had trouble telling who was who. Comedic scene setting in places
Some awful sexism in there too (when one female character said something like "well we girls love our shopping, that and shoes!" I cringed).

For my first baladacci book it wasn't bad. It just took me forever to finish. Only finished it out of stubbornness and boredom at work.
Still might read the sequel because it was over interesting, just flat compared to what I'm used to. (Maybe direct is a better word)

A very good book, very fast paced with a great plot twist (which I figured out ;)). The main character was a bit annoying though he was a bit full of himself.
