This book was so good I stayed up all night to finish reading!! My heart ached for Xavi 💔. I wish we got a few more Katy/Xavi throwback scenes just to give their relationship more depth, but other than that this book was perfect! The spice to plot ration was *chefs kiss*

This book was wow. I stayed up all night to read it one sitting. It was dark, and very much toxic. But also emotional, oddly sweet and of course so so so HOT.

Xavi and Nate’s story was a rollercoaster. My heart hurt for both boys but i was ready to sell my soil for Xavi. He is definitely one my favorite characters written yet. I’ve never wanted to hug someone so bad.

All of the characters were honestly so compelling and well written, side characters included. The found family vibes with this were strong. An incredibly dysfunctional family, but found family nevertheless lmao.

I really enjoyed the writing, sometimes i come across books with a story like that sounds too good to be true. And then it is, because i can’t vibe with the writing style. But this was easy and enjoyable to read.

My only complaint is that i wish there was some groveling from Nate. It’s not to say i didn’t understand where he was coming from, because trust me i do. I understood his frustration, hurt and anger and i never hated him for it.  However, i think he needed to give Xavi a properly apology with some groveling included. I think i would have been perfect satisfied at the end.

Again, it’s not to say i was unsatisfied with the ending. Because i enjoyed the book throughly. But nonetheless…

Anyways, if you’re in the mood for a roommates, reencounter, best friend’s older brother, high angst, childhood enemies to enemies with benefits to lovers with a sprinkle of found family and a ton of hate sex….. THEN THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU! 😌

Okay. Okay. I was BLOWN away by this.
All the characters are little sjits, imperfect and kinda annoying, but I still loved their story.

I do feel, there's a lot of potential for knowing more about some of the side characters, but it's also fine, if I never get their story.
