This book was phenomenal, opposites attract excellence if you will. But there is so much more to Ten Trends to Seduce Your Bestfriend, here are the tropes this book included:fun plot, great pacing,grumpy/sunshine, I hate everyone but you, there's only one bed, slow burn with lots of yearning and pining.
The romantic tension between Winnie and Byron was just so well done I was sold on them as a couple almost immediately.I love slow progression of their actual friendship and romance and that this is dual POV.
Penny Reid writes some of the best romances out there. She is solidifying herself with as one of my favorite authors with each new book she writes.
If you want sweetness, friendship, angst, tension, smut and so much love, this is a must read!

The idea behind this book had me interested but I thought it was poorly executed.  I saw a review that said this book was a mix of Ali Hazelwood & Elena Armas, and for me, this does not compare favourably.  I did like the STEM setting & how enthusiastic Winnie was about sharing her knowledge.  However, everything else just gave me the ick.

I thought Winnie & Byron were some of the most awkward & inconsistent characters I’ve read in a long time.  They both talk at each other & then get annoyed with the other person when their words are misconstrued, Bryon goes from being affectionate with Winnie in the first chapter to a reclusive people hater, and Winnie’s doing bizarre romance challenges on social media to get more followers for her STEM account.  It just became too much & ended up being a slog to read, and I was left feeling disappointed.

The book itself was a fun read and that's about it. The  characters felt little lacking and over explained. I don't know exactly what about the book rubbed me the wrong way, some of it just felt forced and off putting.
I appreciate the girls in Stem point of the plot and the talk of sensory difficulties. It just wasn't my style of a book. Still fun to read!

I loved all the tension and the chemistry between the two protaganists SO MUCH. It's been a long time since I stayed up all night to finish a book, and I am so happy and also sad that I finished reading it.

My personal favorite were the Stardew Valley references, and that Byron is a Sebastian <3

I thought it was a wholesome spicy enemies to fake dating to real dating romance. The arguments were weird and both characters needed therapy, but at least they both acknowledged it.
