I wish the MCs would have communicated more, more so the FMC because so many issues could have been avoided if she had just talked. Dimitri was so sweet and I loved him. I liked it enough to start the next one!

Overall a solid mafia romance. It had all my favorite tropes: touch her and die, trauma healing, revenge, and accidental pregnancy. There were a few things that were weird, like I think the end was resolved way too quickly and easily like most of the issues could have been avoided by having the conversation they had way earlier. There are some unanswered questions that I presume are answered in another book in the series? While I like accidental pregnancy tropes I do appreciate an explanation for it and there isn't one here. The whole premise is they're in a fake marriage and they never talk about birth control?

I loved Dimitri in Alexei's book and was so looking forward to his and Zara's story. He is such a beautiful soul...even with his darkness and worries about being his father. I love Zara's strength and sass. Highly recommended but read Alexei and Bianca's book first!.
