The further along this series goes, the more I find myself disjointed from the main characters.
Lindsay seems like she's unattached to her baby and I'd love to see more chemistry with her and baby Julie but that would mean that she'd have to actually have some sort of motherly instinct. While I commend Joe for being a stay at home dad, it'd be nice to see her act like a mother/wife instead of what she's being written as.
As for the rest of the girls, Yuki, what an idiot! Who does that sort of thing?
Cindy and Richie need to end things son because I find myself getting angry with their whole relationship.
As for Claire, well, it's hard to say anything about her because we barely saw her this go around.
This book left me feeling sort of...well...the best word I can come up with is blah. I feel like I've read this plot before and it was probably a better story than the latest installment of the Womens Murder Club series.

Very good as always..dirty cops, yearly murders, wrongly incarcerated.....all make for a good read. Nice cliffhanger leading to the next book.

Every time I read one of these books, I expect them to get better, but they are always mediocre. It's always a fast and easy read that takes me months to finish because it's not really interesting. I miss the beginning of the series that Patterson actually wrote.

Good but leaves you hanging for the next book in the series....
