Didn't think I'd be able to get into a modern/post-modern crime thriller, especially with all the computer science techno-babble getting thrown around that was totally meaningless to me, but once I got past all the unneccassary detailing of each character's movements through each scene and room and event, etc, and once we hit about halfway through the book when the stakes were finally made clear and the story started moving instead of plodding, it was a really good story. Mostly I just don't have the patience to wait for a story like this to fully unfold and reveal itself to me. My fault, I know, and I'm working on changing that attitude.

Plot or Character Driven: Plot

exciting but not as good as the other one i read (the winner). A bit dated now in 2020 and a bit too much fight scenes and car chase detail towards the end, got a bit boring. Still a good book though

5 star - Perfect
4 star - i would recommend
3 star - good
2 star - struggled to complete
1 star - could not finish

Good story and well written however in parts the character development was suspect and some moments where the character traits were not believable in my opinion. Overall though an enjoyable read.

Finally! Geez... it took me forever to read this, must basically because school started back and my schedule has been INSANE. Okay, I dug this book, even though the "technology" from the book is what - 14 years earlier? haha.. besides that, the plot was fast-paced and kept my attention. I did start to wane at the end, sort of a "come on already!" feeling, but the last 30 pages didn't disappoint.

I am embarrassed to say how long this book has been on my TBR pile. And after I read it, I wondered what took me so long. Could it be that it was 694 pages? I don't know, but I was crazy to wait. This was so great! I loved the characters and I was trying to solve the crime(s) along with the FBI agents. I thought I had it figured out, but a little twist at the end threw me. I would definitely recommend this book!

Released into the wild

Sidney Archer is going about her life with a few bumps in the road, but for the most part she is happy and her life is good. But that is about to change in a way that she will never see coming.

I really enjoyed this book - it keep me hooked from the first chapter. The story was set up in a way that keeps you guessing. And just when you think you know what is happening, a new twist crops up. The characters are well developed and believable.
